“I'm changing the world, one word at a time, and looking good doing it," says world-renowned author, poet, philosopher Monique A. Williams.  The artist formerly known as MoMo Willy has three very different books under her belt, experiences performing poetry and speaking across the country, a radio show, an online reality show and a new urban lifestyle blog; she has proven her diversity and multiplicity, key for longevity,  and has no intention on stopping.

As "momowilly," she released her first book, Neurotica: An honest examination into urban sexual relations in 2006 in the height of erotica noir's popularity.  Dwight Hobbes of Insight News called it a “tour-de-force triumph” and “a cross between the Pearl and Iceberg Slim.”  Neurotica's brigade of various characters in twenty-four short stories showcases her immense talent for creating varied voices, thoughts, and situations.

Soon, Monique A. Williams ventured into producing and directing with an online reality show in 2008 entitled “The Wonderful World of MoMo Willy.”  The offbeat comedy chronicles her exciting travels between Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Ft. Lauderdale.

In 2009, her sophomore effort, The momowilly Experience, was released.  NY Times Best-Selling Author Omar Tyree called the collection “…all original content and delivery right up in your face.”  The book includes “The Real (AIDS and Babies)” for which she won the coveted McGill Poetry Award in 2007.

In 2009, Monique produced and hosted an internet radio show called “The Experience with MoMo Willy." The fast-paced show featured community news, conscious hip hop and reggae, as well as interviews with guests like Omar Tyree, Hip-Hop journalist Davey D, the legendary MC Lyte, humanitarian and founder of the seminal Hip-Hop group X-Clan [Paradise Gray], Minister Server, and Pittsburgh’s biggest underground artist Jasiri X.

Coming back to the written word in 2010, she released her third book Mo’losophy. This collection of her personal philosophical adages and positive affirmations encourages, inspires, and motivates.

Currently, Monique A. Williams is a contributing writer for Soul Kisses TV and adding more sites to her resume daily. She is also working on several scripts for the big and small screen, a one-woman play, and modeling in her spare time.  Monique A. Williams is continuing to prove she is unstoppable in every realm.
